The delegation headed by Mr. Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Republic of Azerbaijan is leaving for Malé to observe the Parliamentary Elections to be held in the Republic of Maldives on April 21, 2024.

The participation of the CEC delegation in the foregoing elections as international observers will happen according to the invitation by Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Maldives.

During the visit, the representatives of the Central Election Commission will get familiar with the preparations for the Parliamentary elections and observe the E-day procedures in polling stations.

Within the framework of the visit, discussions and meetings of Mr. Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan are planned with Mr. Fuwad Thowfeek, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Maldives, as well as, heads of organizations and election management bodies of foreign countries participating in the observation of the elections, discussions are to be held regarding the partnership opportunities between the organizations, development perspectives of the relationship and the affairs of mutual interest.
